The Story
In 1920, a demobilised soldier walks out of London with no memory of who he is.
He has been given the name “Peter” in a French hospital after being found unconscious on the battlefield.
A bullet has passed across his chest. Gas has scarred his lungs. His past is gone.
He knows only three things:
He has a wife named Rosie.
There is a cottage somewhere in Britain.
And his best friend Will is walking beside him.
He talks to Will every day.
This is the world.
This is the road
